Interspecies help is greatly reducing human-elephant conflict while saving and improving the lives of all three species.
Turns out elephants are afraid of bees, and farmers are afraid of elephants who can destroy a year’s crops in a day. So the farmers have gone into partnership with the bees to help protect their crops from elephants, and protect the elephants from farmers, plus protecting the bees pollen source of the farmers plants. Thus was born the Bee-Fence.
A Bee-Fence is a win-win situation! The farmer gets to grow a crop for market and harvest honey, the bees get a steady source of pollen plants, and the elephants get to wander and enjoy another day on the savannah.
